Hello

My quick update:

I have a new/old comp! She's my companion from the MTC in Provo. Life is crazy, life is cool, and  life is wild. I really don't think anyone can put mission life into words but I'm surviving and I'm grateful for my experiences thus far.
The difficulty here in the Philippines is that everyone will listen but nobody keeps commitments. So I keep telling myself  it's not our job to convince people our church is true but our job is to find the elect.  That's the dream.

Cool story. We have 2 new investigators this week. I felt prompted to talk to a someone we had walked past on a path.  It was only he and his grandkids on the path so I thought it would be awkward to go running back to talk to them.  But after we passed them I had the feeling we needed to turn around, and that I needed to talk to them - so I did. He and his wife had met with missionaries before, they speak english (which is helpful cause then we can speak taglish) and they're religious. I'm not sure what will come of it but I'm grateful to have followed the prompting.

I had really good merrienda (snack) you all can try.  Simply go buy some Ajinomoto (it's a seasoning here that you can order on Amazon) and put it on popcorn.  It's pretty good but may be bad for you. idk
The language is still a barrier but I'm understood even if the grammar is wrong - so that's good.

In my scripture journal I've written impressions I've received during my reading. A while back I wrote about how cool it is that prophecies are fulfilled and are still applicable to us today. I read in Mormon 8:39 that churches will claim money can buy salvation. That has come to pass. Then it goes on to says, "Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life?" and making it applicable to us because I know these prophets saw our day. They are probably talking about our phones! So now ask yourself why do you adorn yourself with that which hath no life?  Maybe you don't - maybe that's a teenage/young adult thing - but regardless I know prophets have seen our day and we should be obedient to the council. It will keep us safe!

Love and miss you all,
Sister Crawford
